its COLD here
Wednesday and Thursday consisted of Orientation at the Institute and a bit more exploring around Prague. Wednesday night we took the tram a really long way to a Monestary where we had traditional Czech food. We lost 3 students along the way, most likely in the midst of switching and getting off trams which can be tricky, but they seemed to make it home safe and sound. The Czech food was delicious! I had a potato pancake with chicken and vegetables in the middle. After dinner we walked around the castle and across the Charles bridge to explore it at night. It was really pretty and I tried to take some pictures but it was FREEZING!!! Even with two pairs of pants on, two socks, boots, gloves, a scarf and winter coat, its really cold. Thursday was cold as well. We went to see the Institute of Applied Arts because their students were having a midterm review type thing and there stuff was being displayed. All of the work was amazing. The fashion pieces were really great and inspiring. It was cool to see work of other students that are working in the same environment we will be working in. Tomorrow morning, Friday, at 6:30 we are flying out of Prague for Paris until Monday. I will post pictures and plenty of info about Paris when I get back!!

ReplyDeleteYour Mom just sent the link to Ben and me. We will enjoy reading it. I forwarded it to Frank...a friend of Mary Chandler's is going to Prague this weekend for a semester study. She lives in Roanoke. We went to the Wake-Duke game last night in W/S. Wake won 70 to 68 in the last second.

This is amazing...I am so excited for you and love being able to hear all about it. Melaney has always wanted to invent a nose tobogan, sounds like you could use one about now. Lots of love from GSO
